A lot of the race seats are a fair bit thinner at the back than stock seats. So if you could mount one of those further back on the runners ....

The simple solution is not to be a passenger in your own car.

I don't know if there's enough room on the \"wall\" to the left of the passages seat to mount the ECU.

You could place it in the glove box but that creates its own problems.

There's also a sizeable void to the right of the passengers feat behind the plastic to the side of the radio/aircon controls

Have you ever been a passenger in your own car and suddenly realised how much the leg-room is restricted on that side?

Has anyone come up with a fix for it?

Now you know why the Americans complain about a lack of room for the driver.
As well as the shorter leg space, they also have to contend with the handbrake rubbing against their right side.

Oh well, what do you want when you drive on the wrong side!

Yank hydra owners mount it behind the glove box.

With along enough extension harness or reroute of the OEM ECU lines (providing its long enough) you could do the same for the OEM ECU. Therefore you'll be able remove the passenger security footplate to create extra leg room.

Considering the amount of work involved is it feasible and worth the headache to do it?

Relocate the 6 foot 2 passenger. You'd gain the easiest solution
