Volk Racing CE28N - 16 X 7 +25
No guard rolling required, 14.4 KG with tyres/ full air.

Honestly I was a bit skeptical on how light it is, so I measured my old 17\" RPF1 on the same scale then on 'Pack n Send' scale before sending them off to Sydney. To my surprised...\"Homemaker\" $19.95 scale is bloody accurate :).

FYI RPF1 + RE001 215/40/17 is 16.8 KG, which is still lighter than OEM NB8B combo.

so your 17' RPF1's were lighter than the OEM 16'?

it seems like all up you saved around 10+ KG's of unsprung weight over stock.

how much did the CE28N cost?

I had DC5 before, they are quite light...around 7KG for 17\". One of the lightest in Lenso range. You cant compain about the price either. I reckon they are great value for money.

The other two styles are quite heavy...get DC5 I'd say :)

I agree DC5. I think my cousin got some wheels from here. The tyres are pretty crap I found when I drove it. Not sure what they are, see if you can get just the wheels and buy decent tyres.

If you are thinking about the 17" its around 12KG!!!...Yes, they are super heavy.

Definitely, reducing 2.5 KG from each corner is quite significant. Feels even better now :). The Goodyear...its OK but I still prefer RE001.
I have been thinking to replace them with RE001, but they cost $220 compared to $170 for T1R.

Just saw these wheels on the 949 racing website.. and thought they looked magic! They're supposed to be 15's.

Image

until...
being as bored as I am at work.. in this 15day >40deg heat wave ..

I spotted they where photoshopped..

If you zoom in on the wheels you can see the shoddy photoshop cropping.

An average photoshopping job but just goes to show you cant always believe the false advertising that you see these days.

those 949 wheels are 15x8 as can be seen on Cal's 2F car.....which is also the blue MX5 you see on their website. Nice wheels.

Cheers,
Julian
