Idle Dip Problem Cured

Postby satanoperca » Sun Feb 24, 2008 2:49 pm

Hi,

The last few months have seen my idle dip problem slowing getting worse. After reading several post I decided to clean my throttle body including removing the idle screw. The idle adjusting screw was caked in black crap. Cleaned everything with throttle body cleaner, put back together and the idle dip is no more.

Simple fix, clean throttle body and adjusting screw. Next will be to take entire intake manifold off and clean.

Cheers

Benjamin

Great to hear that it worked for you. My idle dip came back and the throttle body clean didn't fix it. It turned out to be the EGR valve leaking around it's shaft.
