Greetings,
I just purchased a Mazda MX5 2007 model today and the first thing I'm going to do is upgrade the system.
Has anyone successfully changed the stereo unit in a MX5 2005 onwards?
Or has anyone successfully fitted a pioneer AVIC-HD3 unit into there Mazda MX5 2005 onwards?
Take it easy!

You probably know this already, but just in case you dont, there are replacement facias available for the NC that allow you to fit standard DIN sized headunits and still keep the factory fitted look.

Welcome to the obsession.
I took this photo while in Washington State in Sept 2006. Is this the sort of thing you are looking to do?
If so you might get more information on the big forum as this and similar mods have been done a number of times in the US....

Ah yes, good point.....
Something else to keep in mind. I spoke to the guy that owned the NC that I took the photo of. He mentioned he had difficulty seeing the screen due to sun glare...made it difficult to use for navigating.
