sent a few emails away regarding the racing beat system and waiting for a few replies. Gary at track dog racing said that it may be possible but needs to look into the shipping details a little further. Waiting to hear from moss and racing beat themselves.
I am Hopeful that track dog are able to do the order as they are cheaper than moss and racing beat. I might even shoot an email to flyin' miata and see what they have to say.
I should really get my red hard top painted black for the white car really before getting into the exhaust

I will be surprised if FM or other second-party providers will give you a cheaper price than RB themselves.
I'm sure many of us will be interested in what RB has to say about pricing and shipping cause only a handful of us have actually bought anything new from them directly.
When you get your new zorst, don't be stranger in asking for a helping hand.

[that's me being surprised]
Even more surprising is that they were shipped direct from RB not from RSpeed!!! Work that out!!!
Andrew, not sure how to send you the Pm,doesn't seem to be a "forward facility "in the system.
Any ideas?

Oh now that's just dumb.
I guess the reason why RB doesnt sell cheaper than second-party suppliers is cause they don't want retail individual/buyers to by-pass the normal distribution channel. But still..... they state retail prices on their website.
I guess if you that big and well-respected, you start to not care about the little guys. Shame.
As for the PM, why don't you just copy the text and paste it in a new PM?
(BTW, my name is Andrew also:D)

Andrew, in the PM pete (PCMX5) has sent is probably talking about the T&C catback exhaust. I have taken a ride in a NB8B which has this fitted and i must say it is one of the nicest sounding exhaust i've ever heard
absolutely no droning at cruising spread on the freeway and on standard 60k roads, whilst maintaining an awesome MG like burble on attack speeds.
The exhaust obviously sounds deeper but you wouldn't really pick it out to be a custom exhaust because i reckon it'll be acceptable for mazda to release it as a stock item.
In any case, i'll be getting it done next week.

Andrew,
I put it in the save section and it doesn't have a quote function.
So here goes.
The system is a cat back but can have a high flow steel cat fitted for around an extra $300.
At present the system has 2 1/4 inch mild steel press bent(generally accepted as a bit over 2inch through the bends)piping with a straight through stainlees steel reasonator and rear mufller.
The noise results are described by Stevesports and as far as I know everyone who has one is very pleased.
The catback on an NB8A at the club dyno day showed good power and torque compared to other more modified NB8A's,but we do not have a before and after figure for that car.
My car with a Genie SS catback, CAI and extractors made 66.8RWKW and 1928 tractive on the same day but a few days later at the same temp ,same dyno and with the only change being the T&C catback it made 71.2 RWKW and 2058 tractive.
Since then I have done the cams and piggyback ECU and have 94.4RWKW. Anthony at Maztech ( he travels the world tuning rotary and 4's) who did that work was surprised by the gain and said it was contributed to by the efficient exhaust and that he would use it if he was making up a performance kit.High priase!!!
The car that stevesports drove is Chris Hoskin's NB8B and he loves the system and reckons he has more power and it revs much more freely and cannot wait for the next dyno day.
In comparison his stock car at the same dyno day made 70.3 RWKW and 2010 tractive so it will be interesting to see what it does!
The system is made up on the car and costs $550 for the catback fitted.
i have no financial interest in the system but spent a lot of(my!) time and effort and $$$$ getting it right so would be pleased to see others benefit.
It is really easy to get a heap of noise (and droning)but this system is quiet when it should be, noisly rewarding when you ask it the question and from our tests, efficient.

I wonder what it would sound like bolted up to my JR headers
Andrew, I hope they as good in efficiency as are visually, look sensational!
In my experience cars with aftermarket headers and a freeflow exhaust will quite often be quieter than one with the stock headers and a freeflow.
I thought you had a good system in place already?
The T&C one certainly seems to work but really came about through trial and error rather than any scientific aproach.
Maybe you just need a cat and a good midpipe if you already have a straight through muffler?
Peter.

Andrew,
Thats not going to cost much other than the cat probably $100 more; if you did that you can then have a midpipe without a reasonator, see what it sounds like and then add a reasonator for another $100 if you want it.
The SMB mufflers seem to have a \"twin cam\" rasp at high revs and a reasonator may get rid of that if it bothers you.
Cheers,
Peter.
