Hi Guys, took Bluey in to a crash repair shop this morning. Upshot is, not doing an insurance claim.
Got a great guy whose suggestion was that they heat the mudguard which is plastic, and remold it to the way it should be - he said it won't be 100%, but about 80-85% visually as it should be. He'll then use real paint (not the latex crap that the car dealer used before I bought her and which is now worn away
) to touch up the scraped paint on the metal quarter panel. Said he would also touch up all the spots that are now showing like on the door and at the front. And also on the driver's mirror where the bicyclist swiped me (
again).
All up should cost me less than $100 and he's going to give me a little pot of touch up paint with a little brush in it. I am SO happy!!!
Of course I know (as do the cynics out there) that the proof will come on Tuesday - she goes in at 645am and I'll pick her up in the afternoon.
Fingers crossed
