[tilts head to the side] Huuuh?
NC's have them, but do NA/NB?

yes na's definately have them, maybe they were an option as lots of cars don't have them fitted. not so sure about nb.

Yep, NA's, NB's had them as an option

I'm sure Mazda could supply them - at a price.

I'm not sure, but the NB front mudflaps look a lot like the rear mudflaps. They might be one and the same, but I'm not 100%.

Dunno what model you have. I bought my front & rear flaps for my NB8A from http://www.mazdastuff.com for cheap. NB8A flaps are currently about US$55 a pair plus postage. Got here in about a week. Oh, and that was pre-painted in standard MX-5 colours (mine was evo gold).

My NB8B front mudflaps are a lot shorter than the rear ones so they dont look to be interchangable. If you are looking at front mudflaps to reduce stone damage then dont bother. I've had mine on from virtually new and the bulges in front of the rear wheels are nicely sandblasted now. :frown: You'd be better off putting some of that 3m stlye stone protection film on the most vulnerable places. I wish I had. I was going to do it but never got around to it.

I think it depends on what sort of rears you got. If you got the rears that go all the way up to where the the panel gap is, then they're obviously different. However looking at a few of the cars that were at the club track day on the weekend, some of them had the rear muds that were about the same height as the fronts.

Of course, I could still be quite wrong, but at first glance they looked fairly interchangeable.

Hi Guys, took Bluey in to a crash repair shop this morning. Upshot is, not doing an insurance claim.

Got a great guy whose suggestion was that they heat the mudguard which is plastic, and remold it to the way it should be - he said it won't be 100%, but about 80-85% visually as it should be. He'll then use real paint (not the latex crap that the car dealer used before I bought her and which is now worn away  ) to touch up the scraped paint on the metal quarter panel. Said he would also touch up all the spots that are now showing like on the door and at the front. And also on the driver's mirror where the bicyclist swiped me ( again).

All up should cost me less than $100 and he's going to give me a little pot of touch up paint with a little brush in it. I am SO happy!!!

Of course I know (as do the cynics out there) that the proof will come on Tuesday - she goes in at 645am and I'll pick her up in the afternoon.
Fingers crossed
