Its not that hard to get there, only 2 roads really. If you want to follow me down you're welcome. I'm going down Sunday night though with Gav and maybe Marcus when he starts talking some sense.
I should book the room now so i need to know who's coming with us. Usually get a 4 bedder, and 2 are taken, 1 is a 75% pain so that leaves room for at least 1 more, maybe 2. There's heaps of room on the floor. Mr Q would you like to come with us? SM? AJ? MJM? We can meet at mobil in the arvo. I need some certain answeres so I can book it. It ends up being cheap as. Who's interested?

That never happens anyway
Meanwhile, I'm out. I've got a job that needs to be done Monday for work. They already wanted me to work on the weekend, but I've got stuff on as it is, so they shifted it to Monday.
It'll have to be another time for me.

To echo the comments from those earlier. The last mania (wakefield) track day was great. Quieter days like this are a great opportunity to get a few more laps in than you otherwise would.
Whilst the club track days are great fun, well run, timed sessions (therefore bragging rights ) with the unmistakable allure of magnetic numbers (aka racer bling ) there are always quite a few people there. So naturally less time on Circuit. If you want a bit more time to play / learn. This is the way to do it.
As you have probably gathered yes the Green Coldside machine will be there - along with brand new semi slicks. To say I'm looking forward to it would be an understatement . However with another 100hp under foot and probably 4 times the grip of my horrible old Dunlop Direzza's it will be like learning the car all over again . At least it will be the best sounding car there if nothing else
Cheers
Steve

Clearly you need to work on those negotiation skills . Never mind mate, there's always next time. Your'e probably still driving with a cabin full of dust anyway...

Dammit! I would've loved to have seen/heard your car in action. We could try for a tussle, but I think you'd annihilate me with the charger and all
Well, this job has been dragging out a bit and I do want to get it over and done with. And since I hadn't really planned on going to this track day to begin with, it would've been relatively tricky to get time off work without the notice as it is. Not to mention my current workload...
As for the dirt, it's surprisingly not that bad. Bit of roof down action has probably cleared out the majority of it, although there's still some settled patches of dust right underneath the vents. I wonder whether the extra power under your hood might result in some interesting display of dust clouds for yourself when you get down there?

SM how early's quite early? I'd like to get sleep too, after a few games of pool next door, but I'd like to be in bed no later than 10:30 - 11, but I'm sure we can make it earlier just for you. The pubs shut early anyway since its Sunday night in the middle of nowhere.
Well that leaves 1 spot if SM comes. Mr Q, Anyone? it turns out about $35 each. $140 for the 4 bedder from memory, at the Alpine Heritage hotel across from the train station, its on the road that you go on to get to wakefield if you go through the town, just before you turn left to go over the bridge, there is also private parking behind it.
TK421, why aren't you at your post? j/ks. Can't wait to see your car in action. Is that the car I saw at mania once when they were putting in the coldside and pushing the engine to the side going, \"oh crap, it hits the brake booster...\"?
Don't worry about markus, he doesn't need to come to the track, he's taken half of it with him back to sydney so he's still actually driving on it.
Marcus just tell them you have uni on monday, worked for me. Hey you said you were getting smashed on the weekend, not working.
Hmmm tried to fix my brakes today, still has a bit of a dead zone, but now can easily lock the fronts. Next to work on is the accelerator pedal that is so worn out from heel-toeing that it flexes a few CM to the right, also need to bend it over or something so its closer to the brake. Watch out for me under brakes... Go puny lightweight 1.6 brakes! The poor little guys are gonna get torchured by the turbo.
Gerard.

Well Yes . In addition I've never been able to push the car before as its always had rubbish tyres. I have gone the Federal 595 rsr's that the Lotus Elise Series use. Aparently Dave is going to try them on the NC race car on Monday as well. It will be interesting to see what he thinks as compared to the more expensive r888's etc. Your teins must be pretty good though surely (but not enough to cover the deficit in this case )
Yes Sasso mine is the car you saw. No problems with the brake booster now the lines have been moved . It's all been running fine for months now. Puts a smile on my dial every time I punch it

I'll post a reply tomorrow
