Mx5 Mania Track Day

Were you overtaking near a corner? That sort of behaviour will get them sent home. I've been to several circuit club events with skylines and crazy people but never seen any incidents that involved two cars, I've had no problems at all, just be patient and they will let you past, if not flash and wave fists at them, and if that doesn't work then just go in the pits and come back out and they will be miles away.

So this isn't an mx5 mania track day then its just an open day. Have they always been like this? I've been to one and that was all mx5's but not that many people there, I don't remember any other cars except a mazda2.

Since its an open day then can't we just rock up and pay the actual wakefield people, we don't have to prebook with mania do we?

Come on mx5jademonkey you chicken.

yes its an open track day but there are a fair few MX5's going.. sasso you dont have to pay at mania.. but it would be good if MX5 owners could call and let me know.. as i can then get a gauge on how many people are coming with MX5's

Seriously these are great days, especially with a bunch of fellow MX5's. Our last day had about 10 or so cars and it was awesome fun.

During the week there are usually less cars on the track and it is well run by Wakefield Park who have a car controller/grid marshal supervising all day.

Get out there and have some fun!!!

I was at mania today, it seems it's an open track day BUT all the Mx5's will be running in the same sessions so although other cars are allowed they won't be on the track at the same time as the 5's

not sure if this should have it's own thread but who wants to meet up in sydney before driving down together??
I was thinking a group meet (with perferably one person who knows where they are going since I haven't been there before and am really bad at navigating

)
also i'm not sure what time we should leave

reply in this thread if you are interested and put down the area you will be driving from so we can figure out the best meeting place for everyone

I think Gav was keen to go down, and I know Sasso is up for a day before mission. Of course I expect someone to chime in about it shortly...

As for getting there, it's not all that difficult, but it does help when someone else leads.

I'm still undecided, but leaning about 75% towards saying no.

I'm Comming and I'll lead the way having been there before with dave and simone a few times.

meet at the Narellan Maccaas just before we turn onto freeway near cambletown?

any one keen?

I'm going. Not sure if I'll be heading down Sunday afternoon or Monday morning but I'll keep an eye out for any large groups of MX5s on the motorway.

I'll be happy to, so if anyone wants to meet with me north of sydney then drive down to Narellan let me know
