howdy y'all
has anyone had any experience with replacing power mirror motors on the NA6 ?
I have cleaned and wire brushed the copper contacts under the buttons in the centre console to give it a better contact (which made a big difference worht trying if you are having similar issues) but now a while later the passenger side window especially is so slow and some days gets stuck like 3/4 of the way down.
I remember reading somewhere on here i think about people lubing the window itself with silicone or some sh*t ?
is this worth giving a try or should i just get a new 2nd hand motor ?
any ideas or expert advice would be appreciated thanks

Your window motors might just be overworking...
The rubbers along the outside of the door, between the glass and doorskin itself on mine have hardened with age. This puts pressure on the glass as it slides up and down (more down than up due to the design of the rubber), slowing the glass down quite a bit. Leave the car in the sun, let these rubbers heat up and become a little more flexible, then try the window again. If it is quicker, your rubbers are shagged.
Anyone know if there are replacements available?
