LSD, tyres, sway bars, shocks, alignment, brakes, stiffening braces, wheels, bushes, power order I am looking at and you said brakes 2 times
And what did he say? lol
I said brakes twice because first time I meant pads, fluid and bleed, but after more power you will need physically bigger brakes, so yes brakes get upgraded twice unless you're rich and can do it straight away.
Can I make a suggestion that if go to the track alot you should get poly bushes as soon as you can, they actually make the sway bars and shocks work properly, they can't work when the suspension is all sloppy and moving around with oem bushes. The offset ones also allow proper alignments unless you like wearing out the outside edge of your expensive tyres.
They are next on my list, after possibly a clutch so I can run 0.8bar boost. Anyway just suggesting you get them at the same time as alignment in your little plan. Other than that sounds good. See you at the mania track day.

AH I see, yep. Are you planning on doing performance mods other than turbo?
Ha first trackday, yeh its a hugely steep learning curve. Excellent day. My first day my friend crashed his civic and did 5 grands of damage. Not to put you off though, just don't lock the rears going into the fish hook. The tow back to sydney is $500, so take it easy. You'll be fine...

I see. Don't they pay you enough over at mania? They should pay you in mods.
I don't really have $$$ either so I got a credit card and put the turbo on that, lol. Every time I had saved up for it something else came up and I had to spend money on that instead. This time was no exception but I had a plan B.

you are the same as nearly every mx5 owner they want to personalise it and most want it to go faster/harder
theres some who make it go fast and look pretty later
or vice versa
but at the end of the day its awesome cause everyones is different.
yours is an amazing looking car mate and sets the bar for attention to detail.
I have trouble convincing my missus to let me spend $200 bucks on my baby let alone $2000 so i know what thats like.
I think ive spent about $700 bucks on mine in the last two years (on good sh*t )
unfortunately she classes oil, brake pads, and repalcing a leaking soft top etc as spending money on it ( what is wrong with womens brains when it comes to our toys ? )
congrats on your dream job too mate

well as most of you know.. my MX5 has been sold.. im sure the person who bought it will take care of it the way i did
below are some pics of my new car..
an 03 Opel Astra SRi Turbo
Mods so far
Debadged Holden and Re-Badged Opel on the rear
Opelised the Steering wheel
Installed Alpine CD/Mp3 and Sub and Amp
Built Cold air intake
Talon Front bar
Will be installing a Larger front mount on it soon as well as getting some new wheels..
I want to say thanks to everyone who helped me with my car when starting off with the MX5.. Owning an MX5 was probably the best thing that happened to me.. and wouldnt be where i am now without it
i will miss Mia dearly and will one day be in an MX5 again..
Kind Regards
Ajay
