Motorcycle shops, Trading Post, Gum Tree, Ebay would also be sources.

what sort of helmet and approvals etc do i need on the helmet?

Go to ANY motorbike shop.

Springwood Suzuki, and Shogun Honda (Moorooka) have pretty good ranges.

Or else just go to Moss street and there's 3 bike shops across the road from Autobarn.

Make sure there's a \"Snell\" sticker on the inside that says it's approved for racing use.

You can also hire them on the day from QR @ a Club rate

Though having your own is a good idea, make sure it's a good fit too, too tight it'll drive you nuts, too loose it won't be any good to your bonce if it hits something.

Also, QR licenses are required for all events

$20 for a single day

or

$60ish for a year
