URGENT: Toyo T1Rs suppliers in Brisbane?

Postby Mr Starlet » Mon Feb 11, 2008 11:41 am

Hi all

Looking for Toyo T1Rs once again, really want to try Adrenaline but they don't come in the size I want. I'm looking for 225/40R16, Toyo T1Rs seems to be the best ones at that size. I got a really good deal last time with the 215/40R16, costed me $180/corner fitted and balanced.

Is there a particular tyre shop I should try next?.

Cheers
Minh

UPDATE: Need to get it sorted by this Friday!

CB - why not?
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

All I can say is that on the NC the Michelin Precedas were 2 seconds a lap quicker around Wakefield than the T1-Rs. Others with NAs and NBs love the T1-Rs.
I'll be going back to Michelins or trying another high performance tyre when the Toyos wear out.

Thanks John; just got off the phone with Doug very good price indeed unfortunately they don't come in my size, though I'd definitely go there for track rubber.

How much were the Precedas and how much were your T1-Rs?

I think the OEM michelin pilots might be better than the T1-Rs but were a lot more expensive.

Nothing in it. Prices I got for 215 x45 x 17 were:

Michelin $255
Toyos $250

Pirelli P Zero Nero $325 Asimmetrico $444
Bridgestone Potenza SO3 $309
Dunlop SP9000 $330

The PP2s are very stiff in the sidewall when compared to the OEM toyo that come with the SE. They feel like a competition tyre more then a road tyre.

PP2 work fantastically well on the NC.

Maybe the 17\" PP2's are firmer? The 16's work well on my NB. Quite plush and quiet until they wear down a bit. Then they get a bit harsher and noisier. As do most tyres I think. I'm onto my 2nd set of PP2's and I'm still loving them. Not that this has anything to do with where to get T1R's.....................
