One has a round shape, and the other has an oval shape. :P

finally got around to getting it installed

Pic from the outside:

Pic from under it:

Heres a more detailed pic of under the car, as you can see the cut the tow hook thing so it could fit, then they painted it so it doesnt rust:

It also now has enough room to fit my spare under there, which i will do later.

i can also upload a vid of what it sounds like if use want to hear it

i love to see/hear a video if you want, but i trust your opinion more than these crappy computer speakers!

Is it AS quiet as stock when closed? Is there any noticable performance (breathing) increase when you open it up?
Does it look like the electronics will last? or melt and fry?

Cheers!

There's a lot of people out there who know me, that would disagree with that comment!

Yeh I wouldn't mind hearing it either. Could you do a comarision, ie: @ idle open and closed and then give it a bit of a rev open and closed?

When its completly closed is it similar in noise to stock? And is it too loud open?

at first sight, this seemed a bit of a ricer mod to me. but actually if you think about it , it's pretty bloody clever.

i think it is aston martin who use a similar system on their cars, but it's not controlled by a remote (hmm, yeah that bit is pure rice  ) it's controlled by the ecu and opens at a certain rpm, or engine load, something like that.

depending on how the electronics on this thing work, i reckon it might not be too hard to trigger it from something like the injector duty cycle, or the tacho, or the airflow meter, so that it opens automatically when you give the gas a bit of a squirt, then closes when you go back to grandma mode.

Yup, i'm 100% with you fatty, its something i've been wanting if I ever get a turbo MX. Have it silent at low boost \"street mode\" and open it all up when higher boost is required.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

If I was to go with such a system that is what I would like to do, trip it by reaching a certain RPM or throttle position. I don't know too much about electrics but I'm sure any auto electrician could work it out.

Although the remote could be a bit of fun combined with remote start if you really want to frighten people
