see Ajay's post here. Apparently there had been some fitment issues with earlier ones that have since been resolved, so i thought i'd try it out and see how it fits.
first thing to do is pull the old one out. this photo is a bit of a \"where's wally / where's fatty\"

in the above photo you can see my AVO intake pipe from the throttle body sits out a lot further than on a stock car, meaning that the A/C fan shroud would probably rub against it, due to the extra thickness of the new radiator. so seeing as how my A/C is not connected at the moment anyway, we decided not to bother fitting it. modding the A/C shroud looks like a pretty simple job tho, just hit it in a couple of spots with the angle grinder.
the fan is a perfect fit . the holes for the A/C fan look like they're in the right spot too.

and yeah, my fan shroud is stuffed. i should get a new one.
side by side.... pretty big difference

bruce sliding it into place....

all hooked up and running.

been for a short drive tonight , fine so far, but the real test will be calder this weekend. the car has been overheating a bit lately , so hopefully this will cure that problem.
i'm rather pleased with it, there wasn't too much drama involved in fitting it and it looks very well made. not bad for less than $400!
big thanks to bruce / fattima for all the help today. it's nice to have someone around who actually knows what they're doing
