tilton pedal assemblies

Postby 16bit » Wed Jan 30, 2008 3:13 pm

hey has anyone installed one of these into their 5 (probably one for the race boys). I am considering it for mainly sex appeal. Would any of the master cylinders that tilton make be compatable or would the stock one work fine?

that's a very expensive (and invisible) bit of sex appeal.

if its adjustable brake bias you're after just get a wilwood valve. You could remove the stock bias valve and just plumb it into the rear line to limit the rear braking. I got one to do just that but I havn't put it on since im trying to keep it as legal as possible. As for the pedals, yea they look cool but I doubt that anyone would ever see them, if you want flashy pedals i'm sure you could get some shiny clip on things from autobahn or something :D

Not to mention that when you install it, due to the master cylinders being at the front they take up alot of room, therefore cant mount them as far foward as you think.
You would then have to make adjustments to your seating positon ie futher back and the steering wheel extended back to cope with sitting futher back. Thus the only reason me seeing the use for them is when you have a clubman/openwheeler/ v8 supercar ect where seating position futher back will increase the scope for better handeling.
