I used some of that rubber checker plate stuff and my heel wore right through it changing from brake to accelerator all the time. Complete waste of money :/

Perhaps not! Mine was from AutoBarn .. so .. it was probably of crapper value. Haha.

Clarke Rubber you say though .. hmm. I do love the look of checker plate, but didn't want to fork out the cost for real aluminum cut outs.

Does the stuff from Clarke Rubber come in a roll?

I got mine from Clark Rubber in Castle Hill, they call it "PVC Chequer Plate Flooring" and it's sold by the metre, the staff there had no idea what I was after so I looked around and found some myself

It's sort of like a hard rubber/plastic, I just used a sturdy pair of scissors to cut it to the shape I required, using the factory floormats as a template and mine use the factory anchors to stop them moving around.

Yeah .. that sounds very similar to what I bought a while ago. In a roll, can cut with scissors, latch it down to existing floor mats.

Wore a hole right though going brake/accelerator haha :S

Oh well. Better luck to others!
