SP brake rotor size

Postby mazlot » Fri Jan 25, 2008 8:43 am

Am after factual accounts of brake rotor sizes for the SP.

DBA Australia list two sizes of rotor, need to know if both are correct, or only 1.

nA & nb 1.8 9/93 - 2000
Front Vented 255
incl. Titanium & SP Turbo Auto. 2000 - on

Rear suits all models 1998 - on
Rear Solid 250
incl. Titanium & SP Turbo Auto.

1.8L Titannium & SP Turbo 8/03 - 5/05
Front Vented 270
* Manual models only * NB8

Roadstar 2005 model 5/2005 - on
Rear Solid 276

Please discuss

The late 2000 model NB8B got bigger brakes and 16\" rims, unless it was an auto whereby you got the old brakes and a shiny version of the 15\" rims like JBT had on red max (which he sourced from craig who got them off IIRC a Bloo one)

I know that DBA definitely make slotted in the correct size front and rear.
Went for a drive and there were slow cars everywhere, why are NC's so common . . . must be NC = Normally Cardiganed.

So all SP's have the larger brakes ?

Listed as two different sizes, in 2 different years sure makes ordering the correct part difficult

All manual NB8B and NB8C(late 2000 on) have the same size brakes including the SP and the Titanium....don't know why they would single them out.
NC Roadie, NC Racey, ND Racey….and a 30AE

Exactly correct Lou (including the SE) - the only reason the DBA catalogue list them as SP is that they didn't understand the differentiation between the model changes NB8A and NB8B so they called them the SP instead. Don't worry, I've told them a number of times....
