Anyone fitted the brake and clutch pedal without the hook tool?
I spent an hour trying every implement in the tool shed, without any luck.

Tommy, I spent ages trying to use a flat-head screwdriver, but I failed :(

Tien has some experience installing pedal pads, so shoot him or Green Comet a PM.

If after you tried it their way and still can't do it, I'll tell you how I did it.

I used a screw driver aswell here goes ....

I slip it on the bottom first push it up make sure the sides are on... (im sure you got this far)

To slip the rubber onto the metal pedal at the top jam a screw driver between the metal pedal and the rubber cover (do one corner at a time).

Use the screw diver as leverage to peel the top corner of the rubber back and my thumb to push down onto that corner to slip the rubber into place.

Once one top corner is in place do the same to the other corner. It took about 30 min and about 10 goes to get it right.

(to make sure the first corner is in place and doesnt slip out while you do the second corner just use a small clamp or apply pressure with your thumbs)

Like azntein took me a bit over an hour to do both the break and clutch. the accel and foot rest took 20 min tops.

I also walked away with sore black rubber covered fingers but it looks so dam good.... :)

Sorry guys, I havent been checking this thread.

I put 3 small cuts in the rubber, at the top of the brake and clutch metal cover. That allowed me to slide the the cover up onto the pedal, then with a screw driver bend the bits of rubber over the top. I have never had a problem with them moving.

Muz, I waited until people's money is in my account till I put the pedals in the post.

Yours, and a few others, were the last to go. I know it's of no fault of yours, but some banks transfer faster than others in to NAB. :(

I posted yours today via Express Post and you will definitely get it on Monday. EDIT woopsie, perhaps Tuesday, I forgot it was a long weekend.

Cheers

Andrew

i tried doing it the way your suppose to but after about 10 min i gave up

i slipped it on but instead of having the rubber on the top not wrapped around i made it so one of the sides arn't

by the time i finished my back was sore i was just done to the point where i removed the dead pedal to install the pedal on and couldn't be stuffed going back into the car to put the dead pedal back in

You all should have fitted your pedals by now :P

So ... do you all like 'em?

Should I set up Round 2?
