Update - Before resorting to potentially unnecessary replacement of filters / pumps in the fuel tank I did some more testing.
The original fault was fuel cut out and after replacing the fuel filter (which was definitely dirty) the problem went away. But it then seemed to re-appear at odd times and I couldn't definitely relate to g-forces. Having checked the fuel filter again (clean - no problem) I used the tank down to last qtr and \"tested\".
Significant G force at various speeds or directions = occasional cut out.
I filled the tank to the brim and went to a motorkhana yesterday with my Toyo R888's and lowered new Super Streets to \"test\" again.
After nearly ripping my head off with lateral G Forces, not a single sign of fuel cut out... so will now plan for a swirl pot/similar. It's possible I had dirty fuel previously but if the occasional cut out occurs again when this tank (premium fuel again) is nearly all used I think its down to a fuel pickup problem.
Has anyone else experienced this?
