Thing is my company car now is an EVO IX with EVO X looming... just doesnt seem practicle to have a car at home gathering dust and not used for its intended purpose (to be spanked) when the company car is totally free and void or any running costs and changed up every 3mths.

But yes, I probably will regret. On the flipside it does mean I can sell Mrs Kijima's mazda2 and get her an MPS6
Money can't buy Talent, but it can buy Horsepower and sometimes that's enough

Trying to get there.....

Postby cshaks » Fri Jan 18, 2008 12:06 am

Hi all I am new to the Vic club, and will try to get there for the run.
I bought a white '95 NA a last week (finally) so if I can make it there (not sure yet due to work commitments) I will probably bring up the rear as I learn the new car.....
I've been to a couple of the Vic motorsprt events lately and I am kicking myself for not doing this sooner!
Cheers and hope to see you there
Chris

I'll be there, though I might have to take one of the back spots as it looks like I might still have the heavy borrowed \"show\" mags on the car. Looking forward to it though.

Plus surely you would break traction every time you put a little pressure on the loud pedal???

ah yeah you've done the big brake thing.... excellent idea i should do that too.

nah even with more power the size is fine , coz our cars are so lightweight even with big tyres the actual \"area\" of contact isn't bigger its just the \"shape\" of the contact patch that changes. ie - with bigger tyres the contact patch is more rectangular , with smaller tyres its more square ( or vice versa... i can't remember  ) . but the actual size is the same.

anyway hopefully i'll see you there mate, work commitments permitting.

I know when I had my stock mags with newish Bridgestone tyres on it would hang it's arse out around every corner that I was halfway enthusiastic about. The only time I did that when I had the 17's on was when the tyres were gone, once I had new tyres all I would get was grip around corners. With the stock engine it was very hard to light up the back wheels with 17's wheras the stock mags were insanely easy. Is it not the same?

Okay everybody listen up, tonight's Reefton run will be POSTPONED due to weather. I dont want to be leading a field of cars through there in the wet at night
It will happen, but not tonight, apologies for any inconvenience.
I will be at the meeting point and will probably go have a countery somewhere nearby!
