Nice. Very Brembo looking.

What's this grommet that shouldn't be painted?

the rubber pieces

thanks

I was gona paint MX-5 on there but I'm pretty crap when it comes to doing that sort of stuff

which is why i used a brush and not sprayed

anyway half way to completion

do people paint the edge of the rotors where all the rust and crap are?

i looks kinda difficult so i didn't paint it and I didn't think it would look good in red

That little nipple-looking thingy at the top of the caliper. Not sure what it covers, but paint can perish rubber so ....

And as for painting the edge, I've never seen it done. Doesn't mean you shouldn't do it, but you won't see the fruits of your labour, plus if your rotors get hot enough, the paint will just end up flaking and causing more crap to be collected inside the vanes.

Looks good,

Can you keep us updated and tell us if it still looks nice and glossy after a month or so?

i didn't see the need to paint them but was just wondering if other people do paint it

and i didn't see that bit being red would look nice i think if it do paint it i would do it in black or silver something that blends with the rotor

---
apparently vht has some clear gloss to coat them with after you paint but i can't seem to find it anywhere

they say to use there brake and caliper cleaner then paint then clear gloss

----

anyway i heard that you shouldn't paint while its raining but say I paint the garage would it be ok?

its not raining outside atm tho but its pretty warm in the garage

I think it's more an issue regarding moisture in the air. Something to do with the paint not bonding correctly to the intended surface or something to that effect I assume.

Very nice indeed. But like Ajay, I still reckon sticking with the body colour will work just as well.

Still, caliper painting is a very ricer mod, and probably one of the last things I'll do, if at all. After all, you want the car to match the look. No point having the car look the goods if it can't keep up with the \"big boys\" :P

I did mine a little while back too. Pretty subtle I guess, but I like the details.
