re brake caliper
Hi:
Sent my son to buy the paint and he is not here to ask him what they had at supercheap goodna, or the price. Just remember he bought sandpaper as well and there was change from $20.
They didnt have any gold colour at supercheap.
1 can is heaps, still got heaps left of the silver paint, can always use it for touchups on my scooter.
Cheers Ron

re calipers
Personally, I wouldn't go with a colour that doesn't already exist on the car.
Hence, I would keep to green, black, orange. Too many colours on a car doesn't do it for me.
I, have been waiting now for 5 weeks for benny's boots black with white stitching, for handbrake centre console.
Of course they had every other combination in stock than the one I wanted, Murphy's law.
Cheers Ron

My boots took about that long too, but the good thing is that you know it's being made fresh. Plus the quality is great. Good on ya George (aka Benny) for doing these boots

Anyway how do you remove the caliper? Is there instructions around?
I didn't say this but: if you wanna do it the "lazy" way, just cover up the disc and other parts with newspaper in order to protect it from over-spray, and paint the caliper whilst it's still on the car.
Takes < an hour doing it this way, whereas removal, painting, installation, repeat, will take more than double that.

I wanted the G2 calipar paint from the tire rack in the USA.
http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/g2/caliper_paint.jsp
Anyone used it before?
I wonder if anyone has taken the calipar off for powder coating dulux style. (Its heat resistant)

lesson learnt
NEVER BUY CHEAP PAINT BRUSHES
i brushed the paint on which was a bit easier i reckon
anyway i got the front 2 done now i just got the rear 2
actually red doesn't look too bad i haven't move the car yet its still sitting the garage
I'm worried i might pick crap up if i move it outside for a pic
