Well After reading many topics on all the choices and speaking to tyre suppliers today I am getting fitted some BF Goodrich GForce Sports on my mx.

I well let you know how they go, a friend works at the V8 RaceCar experience at Willowbank, QLD and he said they use the BFGoodrich when its wet and they are great in the wet.
They are also said to be made by Michelin.

I would have gone with C Drives except i have heard they are made in another country now and are not as good? Can anyone clarify?

Well it was raining this arvo when i picked up the car and also got some bad news.
The locking nuts for wheel alignment are all ceased/rusty. They have sprayed some stuff to try and free it up and the car goes back friday.

From my experience so far they are a great tyre in the wet.

I put on some C Drives for my 1st track day last year - have now done 2 track days - I find they are pretty slippery when hot. They dont seem to have enough rubber on the out side edge, probablly good in the weet.
I run them at 36psi and will probably try them at a higher pressure on Feb 17.
I will be looking for something else when they are worn out.

You may find they go off even quicker if you run a higher pressure.
When I ran the Michelin Precedas, once the hot pressure reached 41psi the performance fell away.

I would think that the C Drives would go off quicker than the Precedas as they have a smaller block size and will squirm more and therefore heat up quicker.

Monitor the pressures as soon as you come off the track (everytime) and then check your lap times. If you find that lap 2 is quicker than lap 4, even though you felt you drove better on lap 4, I can guarantee that (besides the tyres over heating) you will find the pressure is too high and you are running on the centre strip of the tread rather than the full width.
