i patched it up with gaffe tape i think very sticky and hard to rip

looked everywhere for it found duct tape but it didn't look suitable

ended up finding the tape in dads van lol

wash the car as well and looked for any leaks and only found one drop

after reading stuff on miata.net found out that the rain rail doesn't need to be riveted to the top at all because it does nothing

Anyway i found this unbreakable rain rail sounds pretty good with a lifetime manufacture warranty

Anyone used it?

If it really is unbreakable then I might as well get one of these instead of messing around with other things

Its 150 Canadian Currency (not inc postage) which works out about $175AU which is half of what Mazda are charging and this ones unbreakable

Duetto Unbreakable Miata Rain Rail

Anyone used this and/or knows where to get this here in Australia

I had leaks after installing the new roof, ended up using Sikaflex to repair cracks on the flimsy rain rail. Also as the threaded studs (bolts) goes through the rain rail, there's a good chance it'll get wet and water will unwind through the threads and leak out to the back of the rail. I used double sided foam tapes over each bolt so that it sits between the chasis and the rain rail, this ensure a tight seal. Regardless of which rain rail you ended up getting, you must seal water path otherwise leaks will occur.

Pity I don't have photo but give me a buzz on 0402 144 297 if you need more help.

Cheers
Minh
