I wonder why they didn't pull this code before .. or do they just plug their ODBII computer into Aus-cartalk?
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

The had the car running in the workshop for a three hour period and couldnt fault it until yesterday when the code appeared.

Will see what happens on the way home tonight :D

Just my 2c for what it's worth - I'm not familiar with the CAS on the MX, but on other cars I've known, an error is logged for the CAS if the engine is not running when the computer is interrogated, leading to a lot of replaced CASs for no reason. Can anyone advise on whether this is true for the 5?

Hey all....thanks all for your assistance. Andrew has been keeping you all in the loop about the happenings while I have been at work. Work have hopefully fixed the issue now, I have been driving around the last 2 days and nothing has happened...the car is great and with no issues. So hope it stays that way for a while. It is due for it's 130,000km service though!

Here's a new one :

Mine looked similar to that after 150000km on optimax, VPower (non ethanol), Ultimate 98 and mobil synergy 8000

I prefer to fill up with bp ultimate because the handle is blue (like optimax was) :D

spare one i've got looks like Andrews. I dare say the one fitted in my tank is the same chocolate colour.

My guess would be that its the normal petrol or the standard unleaded does this. My car drinks everything.
