Aftermarket Soft Tops ?

I am seeking opinions on soft tops for my MX-5 NB8A which has just received a complete respray - now it's time for a new top.
Has anyone purchased an after market top for their car? I am interested in a Sonnedecke Canvas Material with glass window and am trying to decide whether the \"Robbins\" Brand or the \"EZ Softops\" Brand is best, both are made in the USA.
Is there anyone out there who has purchased a new top they would recommend?

I would suggest the Prestige Auto Trim ones from the UK.

From what I have seen they are very good quality, and I know of someone who got the full purchase price of hers back when she wasn't totally satisfied with the fit of the plastic rear window. They had no problems offering her the refund, and did all they could to help sort the problem. An example of good service rather than poor product though

Not sure if the Prestige guys offer this, but if you can afford it, you may want to consider getting a \"fabric\" top instead of the standard vynil.
A guy bought an NA only a few months ago, and the previous owner replaced the top with an NB glass-window and fabric top like the ones on the NC.
The fabric looks HEAPS better than vynil, and feels alot more durable too.

lotta people not happy with the Robbins version. mines a PrestigeAutoTrim version & can't complain almost got the red mohair material

Another vote for prestige and a very big vote for mohair with the glass rear window. The mohair makes it look alot more upmarket and the glass window is better in so many ways. The only issue I have had is when the roof was down the piping running around the rear window was pushed into the top of the roof which has left a mark over time. Easy fix though, just raise the stoppers underneath a little

eh? the glass one is the one that doesn't need to be unzipped when folded down, the plastic window is meant to be unzipped

which is why the glass one is smaller in height (& the frame is at a slightly different angle too) to allow the top to fold so it misses the bottom of the glass

plastics not all bad, it is lighter. i noticed the weight right after having the glass one fitted. & more viewing room out the back with the plastic, & you saved some money too. just be sure too keep up with plastic polishing & it ought to last plenty long time. some rather like the ability to put unzip the window without putting the roof down.. i shoulda actually tried that when i had the chance so i dunno if i would actually like that..

I thought I knew a fair bit bout 5's but I only found out a couple months ago that the NB top interchanges with the NA.

I think this is one of the best things you can do to the NA - adds 10 rwkw
