Wheel repair

Postby timk » Mon Dec 17, 2007 9:13 pm

I have a set of 15\" wheels and tyres I had intended to use for track days, but when moving the wheels around today I noticed the rear lip on one isn't completely round:

Just wanted to know experiences with getting wheels repaired. Do repairs make them significantly weaker? Who would you recommend around the Brisbane area?

I have had a look around to see if I could just purchase one of the same rims but haven't had any luck.

Cheers

Hi Tim

I had a wheel repaired at Race Engineering at Sumner Park

http://www.raceengineering.com.au

No complaints, cost $200.00 though

Tim

Depulu Wheels quoted me $89 to repair a rim with a flat spot.
Haven't got around to getting it done yet.

Also had experience with the guys Richee mentioned at Sumner Park. Happy with their work.
Pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever.
