I think money/time would be better spent elsewhere, if your contemplating running water sprayer on the OEM \"interwarmer\".

Even with a cooler climate, it still doesnt address the fact the OEM \"interwarmer\" flows poorly and suffers from heatsoak. Obviously heatsoak and flow would be more of concern if your running more boost.

If a cheap ebay IC can show a drop in post IC temps with a rwkw gain at the same level of boost, then one would assume that a wiz bang brand name IC should do even better.

I saw something on an American car show about an intercooler \"cooler\".
What is was, was a tube of stainless steel bent into a sort of square, which was fitted onto the front of the intercooler.
This steel tube has small holes drilled in it, and the holes were faced towards the intercooler, and this spray bar was hooked up to some CO2 gas, like they use in fire extinguishers.

Whenever the throttle was floored, some of this really cold CO2 gas was pumped through the spray bar and the cold CO2 would cool the intake charge.
Very clever and quite simple.

CO2 gas is very cold, and you can get them filled up at any BOC store for just a few dollars.

An old dragster's trick is to spray the intercooler with a coat of C02 just before launch. If the IC isnt stainless i guess you could run into rust issue's over a period of time.

There's a company which sells those CO2 systems. Probably an extreme-ish mod.
