What Computer are you using to Run the Turbo Setup?
Is the Dwell Time set correctly for the Coil Packs ?
My Race Car is a 2002 NB with the Sp turbo and I have no problems on 14 PSI using STD coils .

12 degrees could be a tooh out on the timing belt.

You have to drop your plug gap to abount .9mm otherwise spark will blow out under boost.

Unless you run coil on plug 8) then 1.1mm will be fine (well its fine @ 6 psi anyways).
Huh?

1.1mm works fine in a SP @ 8.5PSI. NB8B's (SP) run higher compression than NA's but use a coil on plug setup.

Do you understand what is meant by \"The spark blowing out\"?

Not trying to be smart but MANY people including some mechanics mistakenly think it means the boost is literally blowing out the fire of the spark, which is not really the case...

With increased pressure inside the cylinder you need more electrical power than you have to make the spark jump, fairly simple really. With a lesser plug gap the spark has a better chance of firing the mixture because lesser gap the spark actually has less distance to trvel.

I used to run 1.1 on low boost, and gap down to around .9mm for high boost, but as others have said, that was on an NA.

The NB ignition system is not a bad thing, I doubt you should see spark problems related to gap at anything in single digit boost. I'd be checking other causes first.
When results speak for themselves - don't interrupt.
