EOI group buy clutch kits. NA6 and NA/B8

Postby Steampunk » Wed Dec 12, 2007 10:31 am

Hullo!

I'm gonna buy a stronger-than-stock clutch soon and wondering if:
1) anyone interested in a group-buy?

2) anyone know of either the clutch manufacturer or the seller (they all seem to stock the same product but named differently)

3) anyone know of a better/cheaper alternative?

Shipping for one item is approx $120USD, so if they don't budge on price we will at least save on shipping cost.

Northern Brake & clutch do the exedy(spelling) clutch which is NOT a sprung button, which is a pig on the road bla bla bla, but do a upgrade of the standard clutch that will hold up wards of 250rwkw & drives like a normal clutch. i rang up on monday & they gave me a price of $330, i think the clutch is the h.p organic, if we did a group buy they may do it cheaper & they are an australian based company in melbourne. a lot of the silvia & 200sx guys swear by these people so they must be doing something right. im getting mine next week so if people want/need a new clutch & want it buy next week, let me know & i'll see if they do a better price for a group buy, but i need it asap so im not waiting around too long. also if anyone wants a contact the guy i spoke to was Tom ......

I am not in a big hurry to get my clutch and set up a gb, I thought Christmas rush being a factor, might as well wait till early Jan to do something.

Anyone else have good referrals? The only other company I've read about is Adelaide Clutch Services ...

I'll be in an Exedy HD Organic.

They can be bought from Autobarn, but maybe a group buy from the distributor may be cheaper?

Autobarn currently has 10% off and free pedals :P

I'll email Exedy and see what I can do, and see what freebies we can score.

Nick Preformance Clutch (NPC)
has done both me and my friend a good deal
$400 will get you an exceedy clutch (I think)
with heavy duty springs
shaved back of the flywheel (lightened)
machined front

so basically its a stock sort of clutch with heavy springs so you can still drive the car, but you still got the bit for when you race...

lol, ask a clutch shop for more info... they will know more then what i do anyways =)

speak with Doug, he's a good guy!

Archerfield is only 10 mins away, so I might drop by on my way home one day and get it straight from the horse's mouth. Thanks for that Muzza.

As long as the prices are good I'm in, I need a clutch very soon! Not before Christmas though...

I just want the clutch and pressure plate to suit a 1600, my flywheel is in awesome condition so I don't think it needs a machine. I'm guessing it will be around $300?

Email sent to Dough at NPC

No reply from Exedy, I'll find a head-office email and shoot it off to them.
