NA8 headers on an NB8

Postby Okibi » Sat Dec 08, 2007 7:33 pm

Has anyone put NA8 aftermarket headers on their NB?

Was there any issues with bodywork?

I don't suppose they line up with the NB cat? or is that being too hopeful.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Okibi,

I have done the opposite so cannot comment on the bodywork issues from experience but NB headers are a lot shorter than NA ones and needed an extension to join up to the standard placement NA cat.

NB's on an NA also had to be bent slightly away(to the outside of the car) to get clearance.

This may suggest that NA headers may fit ok(on the bell housing side at least) but will need adjustment to either the pipe leading to or the cat itself(cannot say which as i have never taken notice of the undercar location of the cat on an NB)
