Only 2 downsides I can think of 17 kg of added weight... and a very permant addition to the car.
Aslo how low is your car benny? Im thinking of lowering my car by about an inch all round...

My car is about as low as you can go and still be streetable.
From memory, it is about 2" or so lower than normal, but as I have adjustable coil overs, it's easy to raise or lower the car.
I'm hoping the brace will help with the axle tramp I'm getting when I do a fast take-off.
17kg is not so bad, especially as it is right on the bottom of the car, so it should lower the C of G just a little.
Is it easy to install yourself?
Surely it's only a few bolts that hold it on.
As you have an NB8B based car Benny I would just fit the frame rails If I were you as you already have an X brace on the car.
Its a bit of work to fit one, I did a big write up on the install process for mine ages ago. If you use the google site search on this site you should find it pretty easy if you search for the phrase butterfly. I had Mania fit mine and it was about 2.5 hours work for sure. It required the assitance of an LFH (the BFH's brother ) and the carpet had to be lifted up at the sides for the drilling etc. You could do it at home but you would be brave. The assistance of a hoist is highly recommended!
Marcus has largely already covered it but yes I love my brace .
I'm not a fan of scuttle shake and If I hadn't been able to do something about it I probably would have sold the car for a later model.
I have 138 kw atw which is quite a bit less than you I think. However It felt like it improved grip levels overall when I put it on (mid corner and otherwise). The car does not axle tramp, just spins them up - though MUCH less now I have new rubber. Since I have had the new adrenalins on it's quite simply on rails now.

im keen to go into production. The ones i made for my car were just to hide the frame rails because of a stupid forklift driver at the smash repairs. If i do go into production i will definately not be selling them for $45 a set hah. I used alot of material i already had. Prob sell the frame rails for 220 a set. I just need to design a center part to brace them together. I cant do that atmo because my custom exhaust is in the way haha

Hi guys just an update, I have now taken a few pics of my frame rails. If i get some good response to these i will start production. Also if yous want i can lighten them by punching 40mm holes along the bottom kinda like the triangles with FM rails although they wont be as solid and only be a few grams lighter. They will come with all mounting bolts and i will also do installs.
