Flyin Miata Butterfly Brace Frame?

I haven't gone back and read through all the posts, but my only worry is that it will hang too low on my lowered car.
I'm happy to raise it by 5mm or so, but I don't want it looking like a 4WD just because of the brace.

Who is goin to install these butterfly braces?? (I live in melbourne) Whereas most of the other buyers live in sydney....
And how much do you think it will cost to insall these things?? (miata mania webste doent say)
Only 2 downsides I can think of 17 kg of added weight... and a very permant addition to the car.
Aslo how low is your car benny? Im thinking of lowering my car by about an inch all round...
After these questions are answered put me on the list!!!

My car is about as low as you can go and still be streetable.
From memory, it is about 2" or so lower than normal, but as I have adjustable coil overs, it's easy to raise or lower the car.
I'm hoping the brace will help with the axle tramp I'm getting when I do a fast take-off.
17kg is not so bad, especially as it is right on the bottom of the car, so it should lower the C of G just a little.
Is it easy to install yourself?
Surely it's only a few bolts that hold it on.

I have to make a pair of stainless frame rails to get a blue slip done then after that il end up building the center section to join the 2 rails together. You have to drill holes in your floorpan, get 2 people, one to hold brace and other to put bolts through and get a nut on. I will probably get these made this week sometime and take some pics when im done.
Overkill is an understatement.

(should be about $350 cheaper than the full butterfly)
There are a couple of reasons why I dont want the middle part of the brace:
1 From my understanding the middle part is the most difficult and anoying part to install.
2 The rails are only 6kg of added weight compared to 17 kg for the full kit!
3 I have an NB (2001) which probably doesnt need as much bracing as an NA.
(should be about $350 cheaper than the full butterfly)

I built my own frame rails this arvo. They are pretty much same as FM but without the triangles cut out. Their weight is barley anything, probably like 2kg each. The most thing i noticed about installing them is that my non-lsd diff wont spin 1 wheel around a corner now it will just drift. Also there is no squeeks from my hardtop and the overall car feels a fair bit more rigid. I will get some pics up probably tomorow then start designing the center brace for it. Best $45 i spent on my mx5
