Vent rings fell off!
Installed my group buy vent rings last weekend. Used the supplied swabs to clean the surfaces before applying the rings. Was cleaning the car today in prep for the Club Christmas party Show and Shine and noticed that one of the vent rings was loose. Gave it a bit of a nudge and it fell off. All three (I have a boost gauge in one) were very loose.
Did anyone else have the same prob? I have some heavy duty double sided tape, but it is too thick for this job. Anyone have a recommended fix?

Now that sounds like an idea. Thanks Alfa.

Mine is still on nice and firm. I can only think of 2 things:
1) as garret stated, the surface might be a bit greasy from any cleaning or armorall-like product you may have used. But you did say you cleaned it with the swabs ... so .... hmmmm
2) excessive vibration. But it would have to be shaking A LOT.
Why not buy a bit of 3M double sided tape and re-do it again.

Lucky you didn't turn up at the Club Christmas function....that one rates a clip across the back of the head.

Hi Mon, that was me. The tinsel thing has become a bit of a tradition, after all we wouldn't want someone to miss seeing a bright Yellow MX-5 would we.
