Richard from MX5 Plus has been talking about doing something like this...

I don't think the stock bumper would need such extensive mods though with his plan.

He has the prototype sitting there made up. All it needs is for it to be finished perfectly and painted to take the mould from.

Can I add a maybe?

There's abit too much of a gap between the bottom of the NA jaw and the top of the NB grille... if you reduce that... I think you'd have a winner

But it does start looking like some of the aftermarket front bumpers around
