I REALLY NEED NEW TYRES FOR MY MX-5
Hey all,
I know this topic has been done to death, and I know Miata (papou) will move it cause it's in the wrong section, but that's ok.
I am in dire need of new tyres. In the past I was happy to run on Yokahama's , but I'm not really excited about buying another set of \"C\" drives again.
I do 100km a day to work and back, but still want to have a bit of fun, so would like suggestions of a nice sticky but practical rubber. I drive a NB8B.
Any ideas for a girl like me......, especially for those who do know me.

Thanks Stan, but what brands are they?
I posted it here because more people are likely to read it (before it gets moved)......like me i never go into the other topics except for Events and Other topics.

Toyo, Dunlop & Falken.
most peeps press the new post button......they'll see it anyway.
by the way.....I'm waiting for the onslaught of laughter by Craig, Garry & Richard.
don't take those sugestions seriously. They are all semi slicks....well sort of.
But I keep hearing good things about the Bridgestone adrenalins. But I have not personally dríven on those

yes, but conversley, if you're after the opinions of the more knowledgable / experienced people here, you're better off putting it in the correct section. not that i consider myself very knowledgable, but usually the "general chat" section is the LAST forum i check. a lot of best info on this site comes from guys who stick to the mechanical / nuts and bolts etc sub forums , and who are rarely seen on the more "social" forums.

I come here once a week - if that.
There has been some strong discussion on the newer tyres on the market over the last month, try looking it up in the correct section.

I'm just about due for a new set of tyres too Agro. Maybe we can do a group buy? At this stage I think I'll be getting another set of Michelin Preceeda's. They are a great all round tyre, not the best at anything but not bad at anything either, though they might wear a bit quick for you with the kms you are doing now. I think I have done about 25k km on this set, possibly a bit more, I cant remember exactly when I bought them. They will probably set you back around $210-$220 each. Is that in your budget?

- Anything made by Bridgestone you can't go wrong can you?
I have Bridgestone GIII currently and really like the road AND track manners of them.
- I found Falken to be the best value for money, long lasting, well constructed, very good grip, and one of the cheapest brand names.
- Stay away from Firestone, average grip, and 2 punctures on 2 different tyres.
