N*PoWER style bars

Postby Tezzax5 » Thu Nov 08, 2007 7:52 pm

Just wondering if anyone has done a comparison between n*power stylebars and the ones sold on fleebay from western aus?

Or do i just save my pennies and just get a rollbar..

Whatever i do i want to be able to go back to OEM if i so desire...I really don't want to hack up the car..

I've done searches on the forum but what i want is close up pics of the actual install for both style and roll bars...couldn't find any clear pics?

thanks

I have the N*power on mine. I found it a bit of a bitch to install. But that's only because I'd never done it before. Best advice I got was from TP13SS (formally MX5_boy, then formally known as Prince, then formally known as the Symbol :P ). He had a similar style bar and I got some insight off both him & his website to give me a general idea on the install.

I still had to hack mine regardless. Just used a hacksaw & a decent rounded file to smooth it out a bit, you will need to remove the seatbelt to get into the area to bolt it all up to.

Here's a pic of mine I took just for you just now (yes you are special  )

Should help give you some insight.

No hacking with Jules and My FLEEBAY ones.... We ordered direct from the US though.

Nice neat easy install... only heard of a couple of issues.

With the $$$ up.. they'd be around $200 landed now.

I'd buy another for my NB when I get it back :)

I bought mine second hand but it was dead easy to instal as it just used to 2 bolt holes on the side that the windblocker uses!

Not factory, it's a chromed copy. Yes the windblocker is still there and is up all the time which is fine as I'm tall enough to still lift the roof up! 8)

I'll take some pics to show you. :P

I'm probably gonna get hunted down for sport for this comment but seeing that most of the posters are interstate .....
keep in mind Tez that these bars are for show only. I wanted one myself, but after researching UK and US forums extensively, word is ... IF you have a rollover (and don't say it doesn't happen) then these bars can become a \"mouse-trap\". Enough said.
