SM: These were taken with a Nikon D200. The panned shots were taking with a Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 VR lens, and the front-on shots with a Sigma 120-300 f/2.8, sometimes with a 1.4x TC. The arty shot at the end was with a 17-55 f/2.8 DX. In terms of shutter speed, depending on the speed of the car and the type of wheels, when panning somewhere between 1/100 and 1/160 is good for most club categories, ISO as low as you can, and aperture = whatever is necessary for correct exposure. It's a trade-off: lower = better blur but less keepers. Hope that helps!
