Revs are right for that speed. On long country runs, on the open highway and at constant speed I have gotten over 600km from a tank. This was prior to turbo install. I am now expecting to get better than that as my ECU is tuned to run leaner while not in boost. Have your engine tune looked at. A good tune can offer more protection for your engine, add more power and actually reduce your fuel usage (when not on boost).

ps. The factory ECU cannot be tuned as such, you will need either a add on device such as a Jaycar DFA, a piggy back ECU or a full replacement ECU to control the Air Fuel Ratio.

[1 thing i did notice that my car revs quite high at 100kph. it revs around 3200, and i was wondering wot sum other guys cars run at at those speeds. (quote)

The sad thing is that at an indicated 100klph you are probably only doing an actual 95-6.Most NA's show 105 at an actual 100.

My recent diff change(NA8) from 4.1 to 3.9 with a 6 speed has actually made the speedo spot on at 100klph!

As Juffa said though a standard NA6 should go around 550-600klms on a tank on a trip.

Enjoy!
