hi there.
how did you guys wire up your stereos?
the head unit i have comes with a connector which plugs into the head unit, and has loose wires at the other end. i have to connect these loose wires to my car.
i'm planning to tin the wire ends of the connector provided with the head unit and shove those ends into the female connector already in the car.
the only way i can think of ensuring they stay in there is to use duct tape. but duct tape doesnt last forever...
does anyone have a better suggestion? i dont want to bucher the existing female connector or is there no other way?
securing headunit wiring

Go to mx5parts and buy the radio adapter harness for the mx5 to ISO, and if your radio won't plug into it, get an ISO to your brand from Autobarn.
Quite simple, just have to wait a few days for part to come in from UK.

hmm interesting, I spliced the wires behind my headunit so I can still reconnect the stocky if required, I used heatshrink around the solders
hmm i'm not sure I would trust just shoving the wires into the factory loom, they could come out at any time
yea dodgy way it some good electrical tape, duct tape seems to deteriorate, also use some small zip ties to make sure the wires stay in a bundle and don't seperate and come out individually

I did this and it is certainly the easiest and neatest soluton and quick too if you want to change the headunit later.

Think I found an alternative today.
I can recall the 323 had the same stereo as the NB8B, still trying to confirm but you can get a harness from Aerpro.com.au for the 323 to OEM or brand of stereo.
