NB front grille

Postby waynus » Sun Oct 21, 2007 3:06 am

Hi guys,
I've been thinking about getting a front grille for my 2000 NB8B.
The one I'm considering at the moment is from mx5parts;

Has anyone here have any experience with these? Quality/fitment, etc?

Also I'm not sure which one to order...
They have a mk1 for 1998>2000 or mk2.5 for >2001.
My NB8B with the more \"triangular?\" mouth would suggest the mk2.5 model?

Anyone to shed some light?

Thanks

Sorry cant help withwhich one you should purchase for your NB.

I have one on my NA and quality and fitment is first rate, also no increase of water temp at all.

I have never had a problem with anything I have purchased from http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/

Note: \"First Rate\" is a self assesment and is not to be relied upon as your first rate may be very different to my first rate. :D

Hi Waynus
I recently installed a grille from them....was simple to do, took 5 mins. I am really satisfied with it, no change in operating temps, looks good, and seems to be v good quality
This is a 2002 NB, so not sure what part you will need.
Cheers

Yup, put the lot on the grill of the Barbie. Should be pretty good :P

You need the NB Mk 2.5 version.

Craig, I'm assuming the Techno grille is the one done by Rob Spargo?
I'm not having any luck contacting him about how to place an order/price, etc...
Any suggestions?

I had a mobile number for him supplied by one of the Victorian members, perhaps one of them can PM it to you. That said you can get them from the MX5 Factory too! 8)

Yep...undo 2 bolts/washers, put grille in and bolt back up...10 mins tops
Was really impressed with MX5 parts...their bits took 3 days from order...stuff ordered in Australia...2 weeks !!

Same, I PM'd him a few months ago, got an initial reply and that was it. I was in no rush for it so haven't followed up. Perhaps he doesn't frequent here anymore? I would like to know more about them as well...
