Weel, that was a fun day. Good to meet some of the old faces again and a new face or two, and we got to:

Replace the master brake cylinder on my car.....major scare when the pedal went to the floor when backing out of the drive (dodgy brake bleed...took 10 Min to fix). Thanks for the use of the bleeding hose and bag Ryan.

New water pump and timing belt on Ben's car.

Replaced front caliper on Fattys car.

Much soldering of the Jaycar DFA setup by Michael and Fatty

And of course a initimate viewing of Hot Rooders rear end.....next time we might actually do some work on it.

Hot Rodders thanks for putting on the food and the cold ones for us. It was much appreciated. Pitty that we didn't get far with your car. Let us know if we need come back and complete the job.

Thanks one and all.

I like this one
King Juffa holding court.. \"Now Ben, this is a REAL turbo\"
Ben mumbles..\"I don't care. as long as I can keep kicking FFG's ass in drags, it's all good!!\"
Ryan looking on....\"Man, I really need a turbo. It's not right that Ben is quicker than me in a straight line\"
Andrew (thinks)..\"Maybe I can fit a hybrid SP/SE set-up on my NB8ABC?? Hmmm..\"
:P :P

I hope we don't find you hanging around in the miataturbo.net forum FFG...you know you are not allowed there until you have committed to the hair dryer. :P

hehe juffa... that reminds me of the subtle little jibe you got in on fastfreddy:

\"fatty, did you see that thread on the miataturbo forum, (turns to fastfreddy) obviously you wouldn't have seen this thread freddy. but yeah, fatty, that thread about.... (juffa continues to tell story whilst fastfreddy walks off shaking his head and muttering to himself)

GOLD

on another note.. juffa, next time we do some work on the brakes, we'll have to remember to check that we put the pads back in the right way. one of the pads was in backwards. on the club run today i started getting grinding , metal on metal sounds from the front left. pulled off the road and found the inside of my shiny new dba slotted rotor now has a nice big gouge all the way around the edge

the whole crew pulled over to check up on me. fattima volunteerd to help me out whilst everyone else continued off to finish the run. we jumped in fattima's car to go grab a toolbox and we got it all sorted out without a lot of fuss.

how's that for DODGY!

What a great day. Next time definately at Rods again. I am a very happy man with my new water pump and timing belt. I seem to have a little bit more reassurance in the car now that these have beeen changed over and I know that they are done. Bring on the next problem and the next dodgy day

  Thanks for every ones effort yesterday, I'm glad every one had a great day even if the only thing that happened to my car, the reason for the day, was that it had it's rear left wheel removed, looked at, ummed and urred at and then had the wheel put back on. I think the comment that followed was \"Next Please\"
This could be the start of a revival to out do certain northern neighbours and their wingzzzz!
Stay tuned for further developments!
PS. Thanks also to our resident photographer. Nice shots Andrew.
