Round 8 NSW Supersprint - Oran Park South 14/10/07

Postby Li7hium » Tue Oct 02, 2007 10:21 am

Final Competition Round in less than two weeks time!

This one is being hosted by the NSW Road Racing Club.

Entry Forms and Regs here!

Team Guyder Racing entries are in, and checking the bank balances, looks like we are in!

Has been a great first season thus far, and I can't help but think, if I had put MY number on the car when I did my fastest lap at OP a couple of rounds ago, I could be in the mix for 3rd or 4th place in Class 2B!

Seriously impressive Davee! Well done.

My best was only a 54.50, which was good enough to be within 0.8 of a second of the Championship front runner in 2B.

Make sure you enter the Championship next year Davee! According to the Natsoft site, you would have won the class comfortably!

I've had a great season, and I would recommend to anyone who wants to do tracks other than Wakefield Park, to join up with the series next year. Can't wait for next year, going to spend my summer (and money) on a few mild upgrades to exhaust and intake.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone from the MX5 crew at these events for making my father and myself welcome and part of the crowd. We have had a great time and it is in no small part due to the comraderie.

Looking forward to next year!

I must admit I am seriously impressed with my son’s effort on the day. 2nd supersprint and in a car which has only minor mods such as suspension & extractors.
What should be said is that he was holding back as the oil temp was rising up to 130 c and he did not want to cook the engine. He will be getting an oil cooler for his birthday and I have no doubt he will be doing 12s at WP in November.
What was great to see was the younger generation out on the track and acting better than some of the older guys, keep it up, as we need younger drivers in the sport

I seem to be going slower especially when compared to Davee times. Will have to pull out my finger if I do not want to be embarrassed.
