Removing BLINKERS?

Postby ducktape69 » Fri Oct 12, 2007 5:11 pm

hi guys,

how do you remove the side blinkers without damaging them?
is it as simple as prying them off with a screwdriver?

Cheers,
Sam

yes and no.

There is a plastic spring clip that locks them in place. You should be able to push them forward by hand and at worst apply a small amount of pressure with a flat blade screwdriver to the side that the clip is on.

Safer still use the edge of a business card or plastic video store membership card etc.

Less chance of slipping and scratching the paint.

AFAIK the tab you need to push in is faced towards the rear of the car.

I'm sure someone here will know for sure.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

It's easy enough to do, just look for the screwdriver slot at the back of them poke a flat blade in gently and it will release the tab and just pull the light out. It really doesn't take much pressure at all to do it either.
