Oxygen sensor question

Postby AB7 » Mon Oct 08, 2007 12:36 pm

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know the size of the bolt to block the hole of the Oxygen sensor on the exhaust manifold?

Thanks.

Just go to an exhaust place and ask for a blanking plug. Should only be a couple of dollars, will look neat and screw right in for a perfect fit.

Bosch widebands are 18mm x 1.5, although I can't confirm that the stock O2 is this threadsize.
Andrews suggestion is a good one.

As far as I know, all oxygen sensors are either M18x1.5 or Toyota style bolt on flange. A 2lt Escort spark plug fits nicely and really confuses people...

That would be fun to set the spark plug to actually spark. Would it light the unburnt fuel in the exhaust?
