I've been thinking about getting new poly bush and some shortened bumpstops for my Koni's and was wondering how hard is it to do all that by yourself?
I guess with the bumpstops I'll have to remove the whole shock body to get to them. As for bush removal, where can I get the bush removal tool from? Or can you use a big C-clamp and do it? Any tips for removing the bush?
The poly bush and bump stop won't cost a lot, but getting a mechanic to install them would cost almost the same as the parts, so I'm hoping to do it myself. Or if anyone is around Melbourne is kind enough to lend me some tools (mainly spring compressor and bush remover) and help me out for the day for a slab of beer, I'm be very happy .
Melbourne dodgy day anyone?

I heard the mx5 club has one on loan but but 100% sure. If not, anyone know where I can buy one from?
Yes, the Vic club has a tool for member use. As a non sanctioned event some of use are hoping to arrange a dodgy day, which could include a session to replace bushes.
Would you be interested in participating?

I would definitely be interested in participating and helping out. If it's soon I would have to start ordering the parts .

I'm scheduled to do an alignment right before doing my bush, so if it does change the alignment I might as well cancel it for now.
Can't wait for dodgy day
Yes I would hold off on the alignment. The way I change the bushes is not supposed to affect the alignment, but better to be safe than sorry.

I'm going to the island this Sunday with PIARC, so I guess I might hold back on the bush install. Might just do the sway bar links only and help out with Rod's full bush install. From what I've heard, it will take a full day if not more .

Yes a full bush install will take most of the day and then you will want an alignment. The car could feel quite different out on the track after all of this.....so might be better to do the Island, then do all of the bushes, alignment and then get ready for the next track day.
