The USB stick one you want (and I want) also has the ability to plug an Ipod in using an adaptor at the back. BEST OF BOTH WORLDS !!!
If and when you get yours. Let me know ASAP..

It was fun at first but the novelty quickly wore off. You're much better off with a line-in, then keep the iPod within arms length.
I agree but the iPod charging is handy!

On my original pioneer HU (P4750), the ipod control was rather slow, and i found it easier to unplug the ipod and search for music through it, however with the new stereo (pioneer P6850), its near instant

Clarion
Has any one heard anything about the Clarion iPod Controls. My car currently has a Clarion Cd Player and Clarion Splits, so I would like to keep it in the brand so to speak. (Replace head unit with Mp3 playing head unit, and Ipod Control)

Here is my solution in the near future
Forget the cup holders that work so badly in the first place, build nice little template to mount the iPODtouch (soon enough to be replaced by the iPhone) so that the whole unit sits nice, clean and flush.
http://gallery.mac.com/sambrading#10002 ... r=blackwww
Run the ipod connector through the centre console into the back of the iPOD and hook it the head unit with the bluetooth unit as well so it may be used as a handsfree when the iPhone arrives

Drive the Ipod through the head unit - couldn't be simplier...... hopefully
