DIY rim repairs

Postby EGG80X » Thu Oct 04, 2007 9:46 pm

the rims came in, not enitrely happy with the condition of it.... the top clear coat was flaking off and a few gutter bash, so i opted to repair them myself (since my brand new set in still in transit)

lucky I was able to borrow someone's sandblaster and strip the wheel back

then it was washed, and use liquid metal bog to patch up the gutter bashed areas
Image

the liqud metal bog was sanded back then
I used epoxy paint to give that powdered coat look and stone chip resistance

as some of you might remember me repairing a set of enkei a while back

Great work
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.
