Supposed to be working days this week, so may be able to get down to Dee Why for the end of it.

Does anyone have a more exact location for the start of the meet? Or should I just do a couple of hot laps of the road til I run into another MX5? :P

Just heard there is a big fire on the Wakehurst Parkway, so I guess we should stay clear of it tonight.

Mrs Benny and I can only make the first half of the run and dinner on the beach, so the rest of you will have to find their own way up to Dee Why.

Just use the main road. Not as much fun as Wakehurst, but at least you can all drag each other at the lights.

I thought there was only fires further north? Obviously not I guess...

Oh well. I'll be leaving in 10, so I'll catch you all there :)

What they said 8)

It was an especially nice night for me. The first time without the hardtop for about 4 months and such a nice warm night. Perfect for top down motoring. MX5's really are designed as a convertible formost. They are a pretty average car with a roof on them but totally transform with the roof off. I'd forgotten how good my exhaust sounds and how much flatter it is around corners without the extra weight of the hardtop roof.

Good fun indeed.

Turns out getting home was easier than I thought. My mate had his engagement party literally down the road from where we had coffee, so that worked out better than I thought.

I wonder what I'll try at the fish & chips shop next time...
